When developing a tool such as Kapture, our goal has always been to make informed decisions, to make the data collected and analyzed in real time useful and actionable, and to allow our clients to improve their processes by making the right decisions at the right time.
Recently, we participated in a round table with Gestamp, which pioneered the implementation of one of the first versions of Kapture.io back in 2009, and is currently deployed in eight of its plants.
Sharing a table allowed us to reflect on how our relationship had evolved, and to evaluate what was the key to the success of the solution. And, with satisfaction, we concluded that it not only allowed us to optimize the cost of data collection and make it available to the user in real time, which are the most relevant functional characteristics, but that it also fulfilled the objective we had set at the beginning of the development: useful data to make efficient decisions in an increasingly competitive and demanding industry, what we like to call Decisions 4.0 for Industry 4.0.
“Useful data to make efficient decisions in an increasingly competitive and demanding industry, what we like to call Decisions 4.0 for Industry 4.0.”

The experience with Gestamp shows that movement is demonstrated by walking, that it is all well and good to discuss the future of Industry 4.0, but that if we do not get down to work and start implementing solutions, progress will be slower than desired. As Francesc Perarnau said at the round table, “we started without a book, without a manual, just by getting down to work and counting on the help of technological partners” such as Tecnomatrix.
The challenge is, as we always say, fascinating, since the advance of technology allows us to incorporate new features to tools that, like Kapture, are constantly evolving and trying to adapt to the needs of customers, and that we can only detect by processing the relevant data for them, accompanying them in their transformation process towards Industry 4.0.
