Concerted Quality and Data Transparency

The last decade has been marked by digital and technological transformation in all areas of society. Industry has also been affected by this transformation.

We have gone from having data and reports in “black holes“, where data collection and subsequent analysis were arduous and complicated tasks, to having information available in real time and being able to analyze it in depth throughdashboards.

Nowadays we are aware of the importance of productive, consistent, coherent and clear data to be able to analyze them. That is why we are investing time and money in collecting as much data as possible from all production processes.

This scenario leads us to promote two values with a certain ethical component, which are transparency and reliability (of data), in order to continue to evolve.

There is always a longing for these values to be fulfilled, but unfortunately this is not always the case, when opinion intervenes, distancing us from reality:

  • War death toll on the 2 opposing sides
  • Number of demonstrators among different social-political opinions
  • Scrap actual vs. scrap reported in plants
  • Customer-supplier defectology

Technology is a clear enabler for these ethical values to gain relevance, even in contexts that were unthinkable in the past. Accessibility to data is the key point for this change to be fruitful.

If we make the data clear, consistent and accessible, we inherently and automatically make it reliable and transparent.

Digitization of quality controls

To facilitate change, we have to provide user-friendly tools so that the people involved experience their use as a help on their way.

Internally in companies, we are seeing more and more information bridges being built between departments, avoiding interferences and interferences, facilitating reliable and transparent communication between them, which consequently helps in a clear way to optimal decision making.

On the other hand, there is greater reluctance among companies. There is resistance in creating these bridges for fear of being invaded and putting their own interests at risk. There is also a fear of being exposed for their weaknesses.

This mentality makes us “prisoners of the cave” and makes it impossible for us to progress. We must be determined to break these taboos and build bridges of communication between companies. This will help us to continue to grow together.

Customer-supplier partnership philosophy

From Kapture.iowe understand and promote this philosophy of thinking, that is why we support companies to work together: customer<->supplier.

Creating open communication spaces, where productive or quality data are present in real time among the actors involved. Where responsibilities and actions stop depending on one person and start to be shared responsibilities. This allows us to solve and improve our weaknesses, making growth a joint effort.

If our supplier grows and improves, we grow and improve. In the end, the industrial fabric is nothing more than an ecosystem made up of people and machines where if something fails or goes wrong, we are all affected.
